Definitions I
Project
The final goal of each Task should corresponds to a "Project"; The project is associated with a series of work items that are broken down to achieve the goal- the personnel who execute the work items, the files, records and statistical data in the working process.
Task
All the work item can be defined as a "task"; Tasks are decomposed from the overall goal of the work in a certain combination, which conforms to the WBS decomposition principle and has SMART attributes; Each task corresponds to a single Task owner. The completion of the task must be confirmed in a certain process, if necessary.
Label
Labels are divided into three categories: "Project Label", "Public Task Label", and "Private Task Label", which can be added to projects and tasks respectively for quick screening. The visible permissions can be edited in [System Settings-Label settings].
Subtask
Any "Task" can be further broken down into "Subtasks"; if there are uncompleted subtask, marking the parent task as done will prompt whether to urge the subtask or mark the subtask as complete.
Collaborative task
● Two tasks with interdependencies are collaborative tasks with each other; the Predecessor task is the pre-sequence task, and the Successor task is the post-sequence task. The completion of the Predecessor task is the basic condition for the completion of the Successor task.
● The Predecessor and Successor tasks are not strongly associated with each other because of using rules to restrict them may cause difficulty for users who are not familiar with them. The Successor tasks cannot be started even if there is no restriction. when there is a strong association in the business and there is dependence in terms of task results.
Gantt
Graphically present the task sequence and duration of the project through the activity list and timescale; Managers have a clear and intuitive view of the project plan and evaluate the progress of the project.
Process Map
One of the viewing methods of project tasks, which helps collaborators to efficiently sort out the pre-sequence and post-sequence tasks and clarify the task path. It is generally used for task creation and process tracking of multi-task line projects.
WBS Map
One of the viewing methods of project tasks, which helps collaborators to efficiently sort out task relationships, quickly create WBS, and manage tasks in batches. It is generally suitable for scenarios such as building project scope and viewing the WBS structure of a project.
