Task group
The task group is a grouping function between projects and tasks. It can be managed in separated modules according to different dimensions such as working stage, type, and etc. This function helps project managers to break down projects into smaller parts to improve work efficiency.
● Standard Edition can create 5 groups (excluding default groups), Professional Edition can create 50 groups (excluding default groups), and Business Edition has no limititation.
● Project Owner, project Admins, and people with project management permissions can add, delete, and modify groups (including default groups).
Create a group
● The created tasks will be placed in the default group, if there are no custom group created.
● Click “+” to create a new group. The name of the group is limited to 30 characters, and the full name will be displayed when hovering the mouse on it.
Modify and delete the group
● Click "..." to modify/delete/copy/move the group.
Copy task group
● Click the [Copy task group] and select the project needed to be copied. The project where this group is located is selected by default.
● The copied group will notify the project owner and task-related personnel (owner, confirmer, follower, creator) in the form of a work notification
● Click “Advanced” to batch modify the tasks in the new group.
Move task group
● Click [Move task group] - the project where this group is located is selected by default.
● All the information in the group will be moving together.
● Moving a group will notify the project owner and task-related personnel (owner, confirmer, follower, creator) in the form of a work notification
Set default task type
● The default task type can be modified - chosen from the existing custom task type
● Moving or copying a group will not change the task type in the group.
Deleting a group
● Deleted groups will be restored in the Recycle Bin or deleted completely. The Standard version retains them for 15 days, and the Professional version retains them for 30 days.
