Task Automation

 

In aim.link, an automation can be added to tasks that need to be done cyclically. Cyclic tasks can be used to manage periodic matters.

● The Agile version can set up to 10 (regardless of project), and the Professional and Business versions have no limit on the number; Create automation.

【Attention】

● After deleting a project, the automation corresponding to it will be deleted at the same time.

● Copying a project/ task, or moving a task will not copy or move the original automation.

● The subtasks will not beend looped with their correspongding tasks.

 

Create automation

Method 1: Create automation when creating a new task

● Click the automation icon in the upper right corner of the create task page and click Save after creating it;

【Attention】

● If an automation is created synchronously when creating a new task, the new task will be automatically created based on the automation settings, and the task will not be created this time.

 

Method 2: Add an automation to an existing task

● Click the automation icon in the upper right corner of the task details to add an automation;

 

Automation settings

● The text description of this setting will be displayed at the bottom of the interface, and can be check it through the description;

● Multiple dates can be selected to add automation for monthly cycles;

● whether to skip weekends and holidays can be choosen while setting rules, e.g. if skip holidays was choosen, it will automatically be postponed to the next working day when the cycle day encounters a holiday.

Modify automatic rules

● Rules can be edited, terminated or deleted in [Settings-Function Configuration-automations] (see Modify automations);

【Attention】

● In order to stop a Cyclic tasks, terminate or delete the automation needed to be done. Deleting the task itself can not stop the rule to creating tasks;

● The modification permissions of the automation are limited to the project owner, project admins, and the rules' creator.
